Can I loose my router settings

I have a linkssy wireless g router and its working just fine. I only have one question, are the routers settings saved to my hardrive? If I were to format or my hd explode, would I have to set the router up again?

The router settings are saved in the router. You can burn down your PC or raise parrots in it, the settings won't care.
