Can I run two cable modems on the same Comcast Account - one for voice, the other for internet?

I have a 3.0 Arris TG862G modem with voice, It is a 3.0 Modem.

I want to upgrade to a 3.1 standard modem and am looking at the Netgrear CM1150V with Voice, But it costs upwards of $225-@250.

I Can Purchase the 3.1 NETGEAR Nighthawk CM1100 (W/O voice) for $129 - On sale at Costco.

Can I keep my 3.0 Modem connected for Voice only and Purchase the 3.1 modem for internet on the same Comcast account?

My Comcast account provides up to 600 MBS though put, of which my current 3.0 modem can only handle about 25% of that speed, whereas the 3.1 modem is rated to handle 1Gig/second

If I can run two modems off the same account, is it just a matter of splitting the incoming Comcast cable to each of the two modems?

Thanks!

sorry, that doesn't work -- even with a splitter.
you could use some other MODEM
OR
pay for a second account and drop another router onto it.
