    Hi everyone,

I'm having a problem where i cannot GHOST drive-to-drive with a NTFS drive that has compressed files and folder enabled. GHOST reaches up to 99% before it craps out and i receive a error message of "Abort 25024: Compressed attribute writing is not handled"

I am running GHOST Enterprise 8.x and was wondering if there are any switches that I may need to turn on? or is it even possible to GHOST a compressed drive?

    Thanks,

never tried it, but I imagine it should, unless there is too much compression and data.

My guess is that it shouldn't matter. I mean, a ghost is a bit by bit copy, so compressed, encrypted, copywrited, forged, fused, glued, or stapled; it should still copy the bits and bytes regardless.

    Just a guess.

Ghost is not a bit by bit copy by default, you have to specfically request for this.

Well there you go, perhaps it IS getting hung up then. Try the bit by bit copy.
