haha....well you couldnt have been more general.

yeah they both can. zune supports .wmv and .mp4 and .m4v

ipod supports .mov and .mp4 and .m4v

if you are trying to get dvds on to them, google it. you'll find something to do it.
maybe try "DVD to IPOD" or something of the sort.
