Cannot get to windows update page

  1. i was trying to get to the windows update page. as my normal browser is firefox it said use internet explorer 5 or later. so i went into IE and i get the same message. the message is

    Thank you for your interest in obtaining updates from our site.

    To use this site, you must be running Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or later.

    To upgrade to the latest version of the browser, go to the Internet Explorer Downloads website.

    what am i supposed to do? i have Internet explorer v6.0.2900......

    That is a matter that ought to be taken up with anti-trust - Windows update site is clearly (to me) written to detect and only work properly, with MS Internet Explorer. So use it. Since you say you have IE 6 (but dont make it clear if you have tried to use it), then if you HAVE tried to use IE6 on the update site, you may have to also specify (temporarily please!) theat IE is your default browser as well....

    yeah i will try make it default because just using IE don't work... this is another one of micro$h!ts problems! useless people!
