i havent installed anything recently in terms of hardware or software (minus ad-aware,spybot,spyware,avg free, hijack this)

i have tried to system restore but that wont work. and shutting it down and starting again doesnt do anything.

heres my results after i ran Hijack this

    boot computer in safe mode.
run spybot search and destroy and your anti-virus.
    report what happens

ok i started in safe mode and was able to run search and destroy and nothing was found.

i then tried to start norton anti virus in safe mode but it would not start at all.

    any suggestions?

btw anti virus found datkbdno.dll during its weekly search and deleted it whilst i was out.

    however the problem still remains
