  1. GREETINGS ALL TECHIES !

I'VE GOT A PROBLEM WHICH I HOPE SOMEONE
    CAN ASSIST...

    MY HARDWARE IS AS FOLLOWS:
    -A DESKTOP PENTIUM III COMPUTER
    RUNNING WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL.
-A CANON LASER PRINTER WHICH HAS
    A PARALLEL CONNECTION. IT ALSO
HAS A SERIAL CONNECTION AS WELL.
-BEFORE THE PROBLEM, IT WAS PRINTING OK
USING THE PARALLEL CONNECTIONS ON BOTH THE
COMPUTER & THE PRINTER USING PORT LPT1.

    THE PROBLEM IS AS FOLLOWS:
I CAN'T PRINT FROM MY DESKTOP COMPUTER TO
    MY CANON LASER PRINTER.
AFTER TRYING A FEW THINGS I HAVE FOUND
THE PROBLEM TO BE THE PARALLEL CONNECTION
AT THE COMPUTER. IT IS BASICALLY FAULTY !!!

CAN I PRINT DOCUMENTS USING THE COM1 or COM2
    PORTS ???

    WHAT ARE MY OPTIONS ?
WHAT CAN I DO & HOW CAN I DO IT ?

    ...ANY ASSISTANCE WILL BE GREAT.

If you`ve been through all the uninstall/reinstall troubleshooting, and your sure
the parallel is faulty, there`s a PCI parallel card HERE

There is a parallel/USB serial adapter HERE

Those are the only options I think(other than new PC).

BTW LARGE LETTERS = SHOUTING.And welcome to Techspot PUMPMANPLEE.
