Cannot uninstal program

I tried recently to find a program which was supposed to stop executable files from opening and installing. I came across this Faraonics Anti-Executable, which I wanted to test first, so I installed it, and now it runs in the task bar everytime I start my computer, but it won't open in any way, it's no use clicking on it, it won't show any options tab or do anything else, except that it does sometimes (not all the executable files) stop installing new programs. I tried all the usual methods to find it and uninstal it (the Ctrl+Alt+Delete option, the Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel option), none of them works. Please tell me what to do, I don't want to keep this program anymore and it drives me nuts knowing it's there and I can't do anything about it. I can send you screenshots or avi recordings if you need.

ok first go to start run then type msconfig then when it comes up click on the startup tab find where it says command ad right next to the word click it and extend it so you can see the whole command then when you find it click the box next to it restart your system and go to where you installed it and delete the folder if it wont let you delete the files a few at a time and that should do it

ok i went to run and msconfig and on the startup tab there wasn't anything suspect

I cannot end its process in the Windows Task Manager either

- I get this message:

and when I go to C - program files and try to delete the folder, it won't let me access it or delete it:

What else is there to be done? GameJunkie72792, how do you proceed with that keys removal, and will that solve the problem?

the removal of the keys would not solve your problem when it comes to deleting the files, that would just be something you do after the files are deleted. where did you find this program?

thanks tomrca!! i love you :stickout: you deserve a beer ;) now it works. I've done all that it says there, except that I did not have Deep Freeze, but it worked with this one too. It was my fault i didn't look in the right place. Thank you again, after a whole night in front of the computer, the problem is solved. :bounce:

it worked, thanks to you - chamillitarysk8, gamejunkie and tomrca...thank you guys  i'll ask for your help again if I need. By any chance, do you happen to know a good freeware program to prevent unauthorised instalation of other programes? I mean one to operate stealthly and just not allow installing, without any warning or notification?

hmmm im not sure of any i have vista so i really dont have to worry about it but i sure could use it for my win 2k system, if i find one ill let you know.

mike lin's startup editor stops/starts programs from auto-loading. Excellent tool and very tiny. installs in your control panel.
