Can't get sound from my PC

I can't get sound from my PC. I also deleted files trying to increase performance. But, apparently, I deleted my sound drivers. When I check my device manager, my multimedia audio controller has the yellow question mark beside it.

My mother board is: Intel Corp D845GVSR AAC454439-302, serial number: BTSR44203071.

Can someone help me retrieve and install new drivers?

Still got the same problem

I ran the Realtek AC97 download from the link provided and re-booted; but still have the same problem. Are there more steps that I need to pursue?

You have to go to the folder that contains the downloaded Audio driver and extract it. Then you go to the extracted folder and click on SETUP. Run setup. When it finishes, reboot.

Did you do all this?
