Cant open Files...My computer, My Music, ect

    When i try to open my computer or my music or any file the screen goes black for 3 to 5secs then comes back on and everything is the same nothing opened

    i booted in safe mode and everything was ok i could open my computer so i ran ad aware SE and Avast! (anti virus) and it did no good when i rebooted normal it was the same as before ( i also ran a defrag)

    someone plz help me i cant restore my comp i dont have the right disks and stuff i think my dad got my comp 2nd hand

    OS: win 2000 pro


    i dont know if its a virus or if im missing vid drivers PLZ HELP
