Just bought a laptop (HP dv9045) of rather good specs, but I have a choppy qualilty to my sound when watching videos or listening to mp3's. I've tried different programs but the problem remains. I've the latest driver for my mobo, and my soundcard (integrated).

I've searched the web and it seems I'm not alone with having problems with sound in vista but haven't found a solution. Please help if you can, I'm going abroad for this semester in five days and have to know whether i have to return the laptop to the seller!
