compac nc6000 cannot complete boot process

Hi

My laptop compac nc6000 could not shut down yesterday and I had to switch it off manually. Now when I switch it on, the fan runs for a few seconds and it switches off. It can nolonger complete the boot process. No display is shown. Please help

Do you know where the memory modules are, if so remove one of them (assuming there are two) and then try to boot again, if it's still the same put that module back and pull the other one out and try again.

Have you got a Recovery disc or a Windows disc?
