    My compaq seems like it is stuck in the sleep mode. I cannot get anything on the monitor. The monitor light goes from green to yeelow when I turn the system on.. Any help would be appreciated??????

    I tried compaq support but they said my video card was probably shot. Is this the case?

    well from the looking around i have done,,that compaq tech has no idea whats going on,, for one you dont have a "video card",unless you added one in. and in my opinoin,,the K6-2 is a good Cpu but you could spend less than 300 bucks and get a "micro ATX" Mobo and a nice Athlon most likely memory too. and be happy with at least twice the CPU speed.

    look around to find the best deal,,AMD's are easy to afford.
