Having computer reboot itself when I try to restore a zipped file that is larger than one floppy. I insert first disk as requested, insert last disk as requested, and then start disk one..computer reboots...it will load if the zipped file is one disk or less. I have attached a zip file of my dmp files. Any info is appreciated greatly.

Hello and welcome to Techspot.

All your minidumps crash at SYMEVENT.SYS. This is Your Symantec Event Library. It is a known issue with some systems/configurations.

Uninstall anything to do with your Symantec/Norton security programme.

Try using a different security product, such as the free AVG antivirus programme, and the free Zonealarm firewall.

thank you, i'll certainly give that a try...i had a few computers and some of them were crashing and some weren't and i was trying to find the common thread

we come across this problem far to often. Symantec/norton really is crap IMHO.

Once you`ve uninstalled the programme, and installed the AVG etc. i think you may well see a performance boost to your system. this is bcause it won`t be bogged down with all the Symantec/Norton bloatware.

Regards Howard :)
