Hi I have a computer that me and a friend put together 2 yrs ago. It is a MSI motherboard with a 2.93ghz celeron processor, 512 mb ddr ram. For about two weeks now my computers monitor flatscreen 17inch by Norwood Micro, started to flicker and then eventually not come on again. I replaced it with a small dell crt monitor and it would go black for a second and then in the end the computer started to just shut down for no reason. It will come on and then shut down. I thought it was the power supply so I bought a new one today a 575watt from krex computers and installed it and then I got an error that read
Error Signature:
BCCode: ea BCP1: 857CFDO BCP2: 856BEF60 BCP3: 85665E50

BCP4: 00000001 OS VER:5_1_2600
SP: 2_0 pRODUCT:256_1

Can someone tell me what they think? I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks

I don't think the screens are at fault - just a symptom.
I cannot find anything linked to that error code - sorry. It might be bad memory either on the motherboard or the graphics card.
If you can swap these bits to check first?

Lots Of Posts

there are several posts on this site about bccode (just google bccode and see !). Most likely is a hardware fault, others say driver to hardware mismatch, one or two blame Zoneealarm firewall. Take your pick, check em all for similar code numbers.

I googled the code itself and got only this thread.
I would stick money on bad memory - hope we will find out. You are not that far from me so we could stick a pint on it.......
