Connection of 2 SATA HDDs

Hi,
I am soon going to get another SATA drive. Do the drives need to run off the same power cable? if so would the far end cable connect to the C drive or does it not really matter? Thanks

The power cable is pretty much irrelevant. Connect it any way you like. (Just don't use the powered SATA cable and a separate power cable together).
