ok..i have heard of cool'n'quiet being on AMD 64bit cpu's...i had fan trouble upon boot-up..but this was a day after i built the computer..it shut off completly thro boot-up..i didnt wait for it because my cpu temp was rising so i shut down the comp. If there is cool and quiet how do i turn it off?? My MB is a gigabyte K8NSNXP and my cpu is a AMD athlon 64 3000+. I was told early that this problem could be a burnt out power thingy on the board for the fan...but i want to be sure since i heard of cool'n'quiet. Thx for any help :grinthumb

There should be an option in the BIOS. My Aopen mobo had a feature similar to that and the processor fan would turn off during boot, but only for a few seconds.
