Coronavirus response goes mainstream, no longer just about cancelled tech conferences

As a public service ;) I thought I might show an example of one of the true dipshits I was talking about in my post earlier (#74).

I give you Rep. Devin Nunes (R), who said a few hours ago, "the state’s (California) decision to close schools is way overkill and said he wants people to return to work over the next week to two weeks".

Story Here.

Soon we should track not only the infected\dead from the virus but maybe the numbers of the infected\dead that the dipshit population like Nunes cause.

EDIT

This is heart-wrenching, Connecticut reported a few minutes ago the death of a 6-week-old baby from Hartford has been linked to COVID-19.

Let's have our dipshit of the day award.

Georgia's ***** Governor Says He Didn't Know People Could Spread Covid-19 Without Symptoms
I honestly don't know what makes him a bigger dipshit. What he said or how he sounds saying it. Everything about his tone says he knows he is lying. We all literally knew that people without symptoms could spread the virus 2 months ago.
Hey look, the "King of the Dipsh!ts", said this was all, "a Democratic hoax".

As for Doctor Fauci, he's in his glory and reveling in this. He gives me the impression that's he's been studying and waiting his whole life for a pandemic of this magnitude.

@scavengerspc Here's the corona virus story to end all corona virus stories:

Over react much? That story and it's implied conclusions make a lot of assumptions.

The fact that the guy may not have caught his infection from the woman in question. Doesn't negate the notion he likely caught it from his position transporting people around. From your attitude this person more than likely is just a cavalier on the topic as yourself. Congratulations you played a heavy part in this guys death. How was that for an assumption?

You don't and can't know that. Assumptions.

The guy was out doing his job, a critical job. Yes, that is SOOO cavalier...:scream:
Congratulations you played a heavy part in this guys death. How was that for an assumption?
Oh wow. Strike a nerve much?

Thanks for pointing this out.

It's scary once it sinks in that even if he didn't get sick from that woman he did get sick. It's quite safe to reason that he got it from someone on his bus.
There were others on the bus.
Those others went home to their families.
The family members came in contact with an unknown number of people.

Boggles the mind what we are up against.

Well, since this isn't a problem, (merely "speculation"),, the least you could do is volunteer for a job treating corona virus patients. And please, don't worry about wearing a mask. Those doctors and nurses actually doing the job well, they're just "overreacting".....

Update time:

In the last 48 hours:
Global cases increased from 1,015,000 to 1,197,000

US cases have increased from 245000 to 311000.
US deaths have increased from 5900 to 8500.

This past Monday (March 30th) the US had reached 2500 covid-19 deaths.
Today, 5 days later, the US has seen 2600 covid-19 deaths in the last 48 hours.

Ci riusciremo !!

So if you were thrown in a lions den. You wouldn't run for your life. Because that would be over-reacting. I kinda would like to see that.
Well Cliff, it seems as though the lions and tigers need to be more afraid of us, than we need to be of them:

This text from CBS news:

So folks its time for our Dipshit of the every other day award. I can't believe I missed these flaming paper bags since I started doing this, but its time to give the Dipshits their due.
And it's kind of like I'm telling a joke, except this punchline at the end of the post is very satisfying.

So let's all fling our poo at the dishonorable Lost boys and girls of Fox news.
Thanks to The Daily Show:

Now I promised that this joke that is Fox news had a punchline:

"Fox news faces lawsuit over coronavirus coverage".

The state may join in and if so others will certainly follow. Doubtful but who knows.

Congratulations Fox News!! You have proven what we knew for so long.
You can graduate from college, earn big salaries and gain National exposure.
And still be a bunch of dipshits.

Ci riusciremo !!

@scavengerspc (Arguably), if Fox News was disregarding the potential for creating a pandemic by suggesting people go about their normal routines and the harm that could cause, it' seems to me you might be able to attach provisions in "the riot act", to their behavior as well.

Sure, it's a stretch as well, but IMO, just as appropriate.

Our fearless dipshit leader, is still harping about the economy, to try and limit the damage done by his earlier "Democratic hoax" dismissal of the seriousness of this illness., so that it doesn't harm his (now slim), chances for reelection.

If we did adopt a version of the riot act I can see how it could apply to Fux News and trump himself. For right now I can't for the life of me see how trump and Fox can avoid other very serious charges. Reckless endangerment is just one example.
And I'm very serious about this. Public safety and health have been severely compromised due to their actions.

Ci riusciremo !!

So consider this a Special Edition :p
Previous Dipshit winner Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp has struck again:

From the article:

"As the Pentagon ordered 100,000 body bags to store the corpses of Americans killed by the Coronavirus, Governor Brian Kemp dictated that Georgia beaches must reopen, and declared any decision-makers who refused to follow these orders would face prison and/or fines".

This is rare because I really don't know what to say.

Ci riusciremo !!

In the last 48 hours:
Global cases increased from 1,197,000 to 1,346,000

US cases have increased from 311000 to 368000
US deaths have increased from 8500 to 11050.

The numbers I search down are just total known cases and total confirmed deaths.
I think I will start searching down recoveries soon but it seems that recoveries are not necessary to report, so right now those numbers are very low and misleading.
Then perhaps a better site to quote might be in order.
Johns-Hopkins University is making a very serious effort to provide numbers that can be counted on to be accurate.
