Corrupt Regirtry

Hey guys,
Anybody knows what software I could use to repair my corrupt registry without having to pay for it? I don’t want to re-install the operating system though I wouldn’t mind doing it as a last resort.

What makes you think it's corrupted?

1st off, try a CHKDSK... Open "my computer", right click on the "C" drive, Properties, Tools, Error Checking. Tick the 2 boxes, hit OK & reboot. That will scan for & repair bad Files etc.

If that doesn't work, reboot, hit F8 after the POST {BIOS} screen and choose "Last good Config".

there are copies on your HD and you only need to get them copied to the right
place with the proper renames.

If you're desperate, you can use \windows\repair to make the system bootable
and THEN use system restore points to get it set to something more current.
