Cost efficient switch?

Recently, I've been lucky enough to receive as a gift a new graphic card (the 8800gts).
However, all of this is nice, but the FPS are absolutely horrible.
So, after a few tests here and there, I think it would be my processor that bottlenecks the graphic card.

So, is there a good cost efficient switch for my old Amd64 X2 3800+?
Or do I have to change the motherboard, ram and the processor?

Current specs:
Mobo: MSI NEO-nF4 platinum edition
Processor: Amd64 x2 3800+ (not overclocked)
Memory: 1 gig @400mhz <--Sad, I know

I think you're asking for a cost effectig Graphics Card; a switch is a networking device ---

I think what hes trying to say is what can he buy to replace his X2 3800 that is cost efficient and won't bottleneck his 8800 GTS

The most cost effective thing to do is overclock the cpu. The 3800 is the #1 choice for that in AMD.
