CPU wrong direction, changed it back but what now

Long story short, I put in a 1055 in the wrong direction (the golden triangle was not as intended, I think... I've done several builds before I don't know how this slipped me. :D

I saw the corner of the CPU so slightly bent when looking at it under a light reflecting off of it. I haven't checked the motherboard and I need help asap since it's not mine.

I don't think the CPU is damaged but I'm not sure if the motherboard was affected, I've read other posts saying that they had their builds work etc but I'm honestly not sure what to do, any other advice other than taking it back to fix it, or risk it?

Thanks

So you jammed the CPU in the socket and locked it down? Did you apply thermal paste and install the heat-sink? You must have flattened some of the pins against the CPU's die... So it could be a CPU or motherboard problem now. You've done several builds so you know how to troubleshoot a computer. Try another CPU first, then replace the motherboard
