I'm building a new machine and was curious, if I'm setting up a dual video card crossfire system, can the two cards be crossfire-ready, or does one have to be crossfire edition and one crossfire ready?
I am fixing to buy two radeon 1600 series cards, both crossfire ready, and I read on ati's crossfire site (http://www.ati.com/technology/crossfire/index.html) that two 1600's are compatable, and that you can use two ready cards, but i've been told by separate people that you have to have one crossfire ed. card, and I don't have the cards yet (ati makes you register the damned thing before you can call them to ask questions about it :suspiciou )
Any thoughts?
