Ctrl+Alt+Delete

I have windows XP and for some reason, every time i do Ctrl Alt Delete to end a non responsive program, the task manager will pop up for about 3 seconds and then close. I keep trying and it does the same thing. This also happens with regedit (registry) maybe it is something with these types of programs i somehow changed.

Does anyone know how to fix it? I really need help

I had a friend that had a similar problem to the one that you're currently having. Oddly enough, it was a nasty piece of spyware that was causing the problem. I would recommend downloading Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy to see if that helps.

Of course, AFAIK, it is rather rare to see spyware that will cause a user not to be able to ctrl + alt + tab out of programs.

Yes, it is usually virii that cause this.

I have all that stuff

I have all that stuff and it still doesnt work. Spybot, adaware adn norton. I cant figure it out.

You might need to run them in Safe Mode. This will ensue that some critical processes or files are not in use and can be deleted. Just make sure that you have updated them before running.
