  1. Hi there.

I have a friend who playes counter Strike Condition Zero. He recently had to reinstall Steam and now whenever he is connected to a server his ping goes way up. It shows normal latency when he is not connected (using favorites list). Anybody who knows what is wrong?

Well, one thing I can tell you is that Steam doesn't always show the real ping. This has happened to me when I was on my wireless home LAN connection. What is his connection? And also, spyware may be the problem. Make sure you scan with a good spyware killer program. I recommend Ad-Aware 6.0 PE. That's a good one.

If you want a tweak for the registry that may improve the ping, go to:

Just note that you may need some knowledge of the registry, that is, unless you want your friend's computer to go bananaz!!!

    Good luck

P.S.: Don't bother with Steam support... cause... well... THEY SUCK!!!! :haha:
