D Link USB wireless won't work on macOS

All: Just bought a D link USB Wireless N USB Adapter DWA 140 ... be aware it isn't working with MAC OSX 10.8 or newer, doesn't t say it on the package, the person who sold it to me didn t tell me either. D Link has no driver for OSX 10.8 or newer, there customer service is absolutely useless. No D link products any more ........

Hmm; It's the USB that's the problem. The straight Ethernet routers do not need drivers and thus are usable on ANY system.
