    hi,

I was streaming a video and i have found with discmapper 2 you can find the streamed file in the temporary internet files.

anyway usually this works great as it downloads at a .mpg or .wmv

but in this case its downloaded as a .dat file....

now i know its teh file that i was streaming but i cant find anything to play it
    not even VLC or MPclassic!

anyway does anyone know of a way i can convert this file to be played easily??
or does anyone know of a app that can get streamed videos off the net??

thanks in advance and thanks for your time

oh well .. guess ill have to rack my brains to the extreme to figure this one out! ive found a few programs which claim to do it but dont :S or only works for DVDs etc

maybe ill just have to pinch the stream some other way :p

I don't think doing that is legal.

    hmm
i guess but if it gets stored on my computer .. in temporary internet files then surely its mine !!!!! allllll mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You would think so. The questionable legality is probably the reason you haven't received any help.
