    Rustam,

Could you please help me... I'm trying to help a student here where I work reset the BIOS on a Latitude 110L... he brought it with him from overseas and they got it through consignment - some kind of donation. Anyway, it has an admin password on it and all boot devices are locked out except the HDD of course. No HDD password set though at least.

Dell Insiron 1000 Bios password Removal

    Greetings to all!!

Approximately 4 months ago I have got laptop Dell Inspiron 1000 for job.
Used it in a current of one and a half month and as that in one good day I come after a dinner and I see a picture - the screen of my laptop black and in the middle dark blue window Bios with an inscription "" Enter the password "", I have come to bewilderment from it as that put what passwords, how much it would not reboot that only did not do that did not help... In DELL to me could not help and have told do not know as it it could turn out... In the service centre tried to pull out battery CMOS and as have changed for the empty chip 93LC46B but also it has not helped.
If anyone can help here are the tags

The I1000 is a real one-of-a-kind oddball and neither the EEProm Chip shorting or replacement will work on it and neither does the CMOS battery disconnect which works on some of the other Inspirons. In fact, it does not have an EEProm Chip that is used for the Service Tag and passwords. The 93C46 chip is for a builtin LAN Chipset and not for the BIOS Password and Service Tag storage. I have had 2 1000 boards here and could never find a way of clearing them. Perhaps someone else has a way.

    sorry

sorry, but you should at least tell what laptop model you have.
do you need the admin password for bios configuration or the system password to access the laptop?
