Dell Inspiron 5100 Batt.question

    I have a Dell Inspiron 5100, and for whatever reason it is now after being off and trying to charge it the batt light flashes orange or amber, whatever color it is supposed to be and barely puts a charge on it no matter how long i charge it for. new battery or a short in the MB somewhere?
