Dell Laptop Authentification code

I purchased a used Dell Latitude 510 laptop and am in need of an authentification code to use Microsoft word. Where would I find this if I don't have a startup disk?

If you need an authentication code for MS Word/Office, then you will need a license code by the sounds of it.

I'm still unclear as to what your problem is, Microsoft Office shouldn't need authentication, however Windows does need activating.

Could you please give some more detail as to your problem?

When I click on the Microsoft Word icon, it asks for a user name, initials, organiization and 25-character product key

Ahh, ok, I see what you mean now.

All you have to do is type your name into the name box (you can put full name or first name, or even a nick name, it doesn't really matter) and you don't have to fill the initials in, but you do have to type in the Product Key. This is the license key that will be on your Office/Word CD/DVD/box.
