There are a number of countries with extremely high taxes on motor vehicles. They do it to suppress the number of vehicles on the road.
Sure it does suppress it. It's impossible not to. And Denmark is to be one of the highest by far of any car tax. That's also why so few people have cars in North Korea, the Caribbean, and those type places. Or try cars in China. Most people can't afford them either. So few cars...
OR, it can be the other way around, Buy a used car in the UK. Prices are peachy, but try to get it insured... hehehe.
