Desktop Defender 2010

Discription: looping- promts it's removal - speaker noise - processes vioce saying "Virus found" - Screen flashing to blank and on agian - etc.
Had to keep Avira running to "Deny Access" untill I could get to step 4 in the "8-step" thread.
If I would stop Process in "windows task manager" multiple process would start, only solution I found was to keep Avira running and keep "presing deny access".

Went through "8-steps" twice and completed as started second time. Will go through it again after post.

See if it picks up additional stuff

Ran scanner twice, nothing found.

Remove/fix these entries in the hijackthis log:
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {E3215F20-3212-11D6-9F8B-00D0B743919D} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {C84D72FE-E17D-4195-BB24-76C02E2E7C4E} - (no file)

Removed and Fixed. Computer seems to be back to normal. thank you

Good, now when you have time, use Windows Update "custom" mode to update XP to Service Pack 3 and IE7 to IE8, even if you don't use it There may be other updates ready do install after you do all this. These updates will help with overall Windows security
