Desktop on but no monitor activity

So I have a HP Pavilion P6000 Series. I was running a trustworthy program when all of a sudden, everything freezes. After 20 minutes of no activity, I turned the computer off by switching the manual switch to off on the back of the tower. I turned it back on and the fans are running, but the light where there on/off button on top isn’t on, I have no screen activity, and no lights to the keyboard or mouse. Also, the fans are running faster than usual. Is there something I can do or is it corrupted.
