I'm going of to college in a few weeks and I need a laptop. I don't have alot of money so no $2000+ desktop replacement laptop will work, because I wouldn't be able to afford it. I want something that will be able to somewhat keep pace with my current desktop system, but have the battery life that I will need (something like 3+ hours).
Processors
I know that the Intel® Pentium® M Processors are out as well as the AMD Turion 64 Processors. What is with the 1.6-2.0Ghz range on the new Intel CPUs? Are they becoming like AMD's processors where a 3400+ running at 2.2Ghz runs like a 3.4Ghz? I'm slightly confused at this.
Video
I want a dedicated video card with good speed with 128mb+ Ram.
Harddrive
Nothing to fancy, something quick but not to expensive. At least 50gb+
Everything else
All the standard notebook/laptop stuff, a good screen but nothing that weights 16lbs.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I've narrowed my search to these two laptops. Please guys, I would like some input. Thanks.
