i am having trouble booting my machine.:suspiciou when i boot the machine, it goes on till the windows logo and then shows a blue screen which says that a file is corrupt and is shutting down the machine for its safety.:stickout:

I reinserted the RAMS ( 512 ) and also tried to boot in safe mode. It sometimes starts but mostly its the same result. I am having much data on my disk and am worried about losing it.

I am not sure whether this is a normal issue or whether teh information given above is adequate...can anyone of you please help me out..please do let me know whether any additional infor is required for troubleshooting...
