Did You Know? Windows Has Never Had a “System Tray”

Windows has never actually had a “system tray.” For 25 years, we’ve all been getting it wrong. Microsoft insists those icons are in a “notification area.” So where did the term “system tray” come from? And why does Windows 10 call it the “system tray”—but only once?

Picky picky picky. guess someone needs to write an article while sitting at home. IMO, we took the name that the system itself used :)
Except… If you head to Settings > Ease of Access > Narrator, you’ll find an option called “Minimize Narrator Home to the system tray.”
 
I have read your article completely, it is very good and full information, the most intresting topic that I felt is - Why Does Everyone Think Called the System Tray?
 
Never observed or even thought of this thing “system tray" All the years I just kept browsing my pc and laptop, I thought it already exists. Now I start to remember the old version of windows about this option.
