Directx .dll problem

Hi guys, I have a probleme with my directx install. As you know, if a single file is corrupted in any way, directx will not install. Well it seems that the qasf.dll file is out of date in my windows XP pro installation cd, and I can't seem to update it or fix it in anyway.

Because of this, I can't install directx 9.0c (I currently have 9.0b). Can anyone help me resolve this probleme?
