Disabling Internet Explorer

So I read somewhere that with Windows 7 you can disable Internet Explorer. Now, I just can't seem to find out how. Does anybody know how to do it and even if it is true?

Are you trying to go back to a different version of IE?

You can accomplish this by going to Progams and Features and then on the left selecting Turn Windows Feature On or Off ... see attached. Uncheck Internet Explore to remove from Windows.
