Dmload.sys error during clean install

I'm attempting to do a clean install of XP, and when I put in the disk to boot off, I have a problem. The cd loads, begins the normal routine, but stalls on "Floppy Drive Support" or something like that. After a few minutes, the following error comes up:

File dmload.sys caused an unexpected error (8192) at line 5897 in d:\xpspl\base\boot\setup\setup.c

The setup then prompts me to quit. Any ideas of how to fix this? I really need this install. Thanks.

I don't know for sure, but I'd recommend trying a different CD or different CD-ROM. Sounds like this mgiht be a read or even possibly a write error (hard drive issue?).
