Don't know how to get Duel Band Wireless USB Adapter to work

Hi! I recently bought a Duel Band Wireless USB Adapter. It looks like the brand name is "abgnac." It comes with a USB and an antenna to connect to the USB. And also a small software installation disk, about 3" in diameter. I think I downloaded it ok and see the icon for it on my desktop, on my Thinkpad Computer, that I got it for. But I can't figure out how to get it to work. I got it to help improve that computer's ability to pick up wi-fi signals, as it does less well at that, compared to my other laptop computers.
