Does anyone know of a free DOS NTFS file transfer program, preferably with a GUI? I have a disk I can only access under NTFS4DOS and it has a ton of sub directories that are going to be a real pain to copy over manually.

    Thanks!

Graphical, in DOS? Wishful thinking :)

You probably want something that supports long file names.. Try Volkov Commander (4.99) or NDN.

Also, Linux can't access the disk? Knoppix has a very pretty GUI..

    Thanks for the response.

Knoppix doesn't support NTFS according to the documentation and is not recommended for use on that type of file system.

As far as graphical in DOS, I'd settle for ASCII as long as I don't have to type 5-6 levels of subdirectories 40 different times.

I'll try the two you recommended. Thanks!

Yes, Knoppix supports NTFS without any special modifications. Any claims that it doesn't may be because support is 'experimental', but it works very, very well.

It does require that you right click on the drive and change the drive from read-only to writable, if you plan on copying files to it.
