Guys can anyone post a pic of what just plain dram looks like? I am confused is it a chip on the mobo, or is it like a dimm chip?

I feel like a nincompoop asking this question...

    Thanks!

DRAM refers to a memory type, the working principle of storing bits, not a specific piece of hardware. So something similar to this should be the most illustrative image..

But if you fancy some pics of different DRAM modules,
just look at any common memory module that is not ROM, CPU cache, flash or some other less common technology..

Try looking for "dram"/"sdram"/"ddram"/"rdram"/"dimm"/"edo" or whatever in google image search.
