I am looking for a driver for a Creative S727-SB soundcard. We are using
Windows 98 on this PC and can't find the driver. Kathleenhbn72

The S727 is apparantly an Ensoniq/Soundblaster clone made by DCS-Sertek out of Taiwan. They apparantly are out of business now. You can buy a replacemnet Soundblaser-clone soundcard (with drivers for win 95/98/2K/XP) for under $13 at Newegg . It would be easier than finding a driver for an outdated or no longer supported soundcard.

If you scan the forums throughout the net, you will see that there are alot of people who are looking for drivers for that particular card, with no luck. Tarkus is right, normally you'd be better off buying a new card. It just so happens that I have an extra CD folder where I keep all drivers, past and present, for all PCs I have ever built, around 150. The name of the driver is "s727w95.exe". The size of the file is around 8MB, if your e-mail box will allow that much volume then I'll send it to you.
