Driver problem for intel pro 2200bg?

Hey I'm having a problem connecting to the internet on my wifi software.. the driver and the network is enabled but in the last day or so before now, its crapped out on me, wont show any detected networks, im worried it could be a virus but I want to rule out any other possibilities first.

Correction: it shows as enabled but I cant connect to anything as it will not show any wireless networks as detected

What OS are you running (ex: Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, etc.)?

Download and install the latest driver from here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/De...indows XP Home Edition*&DownloadType=Drivers. Make sure you download the first driver in the list (the .exe file).

If that does not work, I have one more possible fix.

Right click on the network status indicator in the taskbar, and click "Diagnose".

In xp I believe that would be repair as there is no diagnose, trying it now..

It sais, wifi connection isnt connected, wireless network unavailable, andvthe repair failed because it couldnt connect

Do you have another internet-capable device? Try connecting that to the router and see if it works.
