Dual OS boot with Vista and XP

  1. Hi all,

Have been attempting to create a dual OS boot on my PC. I would like a Vista Home Premium and my XP Pro. The plan is to place each OS on its own partion (each partions are 250GB)

Have made two attempts - the first one crashed and gave me an "disk read error" after installing the second OS (XP).

Then I took it from the beginning - installing Vista from scratch, then the XP and this attempt just starts XP and ignores the Vista (as in Im not getting an option to select OS).

Should anything be set up for the machine to "see" both OS'es??

    Please post any suggestions..

XP then Vista. ALWAYS install the older Microsoft OS first when setting up a dual boot.
