Duplicate itunes song

Hi, in my itunes library, the songs appear multiple times..most appear only 2 times, but other appear 3-4 times...help would be great-thanks

You need to make sure that the artist and album details are exactly the same otherwise it recognizes them as different albums! Albums with different artists: you need to put "yes" in the "group" option in the "get info" options (when you highlight all the album's songs and right click them)!
