So I just got a new DVD RW LITEON: LH-18A1P
I tried installing it and I get nada under My computer. It shows up on the device manager with the error code 39 saying the driver is missing or corrupt. I checked it under CMOS and it shows up anyway. Tried switching out to a brand new IDE cable and tried uninstalling the drive and letting windows detect it automatically but all to no avail.
Can anyone give me some clues as to the next steps I should take to troubleshoot this?
