DvD plays on TV, not Computer

  1. My boss has a football DVD created by a guy he used to play college football with. The DVD plays on the DVD machine (TV), but not on my boss' computer.

Steps I've taken on his computer:

-Made sure he had a DVD player built into the computer.

-Made sure that the DVD was going in the right drive.

-Right clicked the DVD to open and view the contents... it appears empty.

-Flipped over the DVD and held it in the light to make sure it wasn't a blank
DVD... definately had content on it.

    - Tested other DVDs to make sure the problem was this certain DVD... it is.

He wants to make a copy of the DVD but we can't do that untill we can view the contents.

    Suggestions, or questions?

It might be an incompatible format. The DVD was probably burned in the + or - format. The DVD drive might not support the one used. Newer DVD drives tend to support both but older ones might not have.
