Do all DVD drives also write plain old CD's?

    Hello and welcome to Techspot.

As far as I`m aware dvd rewriters don`t write cd,s as well unless it`s a combo Regards Howard :grinthumb

Most DVD-RWs burn slightly slower than dedicated CD-RWs (e.g. 32x instead of 52x), so it is still worth having a cd-rw or cd-rw/dvd-rom combo.
