    Iam not sure I understand your post .Are you asking if you can mix ECC with Reg Ram ? You should not . That board can support either type , but it is always the best to use the same brand +type.

    Well this page says :

    It might mean that it'll work but you will not get technical support from Tyan if you run that type of Ram on the mainboard, or it might not work at all ( or you might end up having problems further down the road ).

    If TYAN doesn't say it's supported IMO it could be because they've had problems getting Registered DIMMs working properly on it.
