The very definition of a virus, as it is now, and has been in all of recent history, is that it "spreads fast". So, what's new in the world?

Your fear of it. And why is your fear now always present? Because nothing else is ever talked about on television anymore except COVID and the next coming mutations.

It spread fast? Hehehehehee, like all viruses before it. Thank God for 24/7/365 news coverage we have these days, huh?
I don't fear the virus for me. I worry about catching it without even knowing it and spreading it to others. Responsibility. And yes, it spreads faster than the flu. My daughter sent me this a few weeks ago. This is pretty new (OCT 11) and might interest you:

I do agree to a point. But the weekly average for COVID deaths is something like 350. I believe its extreme level of contagion is why it's still so closely watched. And because we are heading into fall\winter months.

And I didn't blame trump for current times. I said I blame him for his claims that it would not be a problem early on.
You obviously don't live in the US if you think Trump was the one who took the china virus lightly. Trump banned travel to China right off the bat when the Democrats such as Pelosi and Di Blasio for example told us we were racist if we didn't get out and rub hands with Chinese.

Pelosi actually said that COVID was under control in Feb of 2020. But she has admitted multiple times she was wrong, obviously, even on Colbert a few months ago. I think it was 2 days after her Chinatown visit the first COVID deaths in America happened on Feb 26th.

trump never has said he was wrong. Maybe he still believes 10 died.

"China is working very, very hard. I have spoken to President Xi, and they’re working very hard. And if you know anything about him, I think he’ll be in pretty good shape. They’re — they’ve had a rough patch, and I think right now they have it — it looks like they’re getting it under control more and more. They’re getting it more and more under control. So I think that’s a problem that’s going to go away."

What's that have to do with Trump declaring a public health emergency and restricting travel to China less than a week later and AFTERWARDS the Democrats telling people they were RACIST if they didn't get on over to Chinatown.

Flip-flopping.
Extreme Schizophrenia.
Inability to lock on a subject.

It's all a body of work. Doing something that may work and then contradicting it with a later statement. That was his whole life.

I supported the travel ban, limited in effectiveness as it was.
But the rest of his history with COVID is all there to see.
